Description

A bold, crunchy, and addictive snack that perfectly balances heat and savory seasonings. Perfect for parties and gifting.

Ingredients

Scale

1 pound (16 oz) mini pretzel twists
2/3 cup vegetable oil
1 packet (1 oz) dry ranch dressing mix
1.5 teaspoons cayenne pepper (adjust for heat)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C) and line two large baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats for easy cleanup.
Step 2: In a medium bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil, ranch seasoning packet, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes until the spices are well-distributed.
Step 3: Place the mini pretzel twists into a very large mixing bowl. Pour the oil and spice mixture over the pretzels.
Step 4: Using a large spatula, gently toss the pretzels for 2-3 minutes to ensure every single twist is thoroughly coated in the spicy oil.
Step 5: Spread the seasoned pretzels in a single layer across the prepared baking sheets.
Step 6: Bake for 45 minutes, stirring the pretzels every 15 minutes to ensure even roasting and to prevent the spices from burning.
Step 7: Remove from the oven and allow the pretzels to cool completely on the baking sheets. They will become crunchier as they cool.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks. For extra heat, increase the cayenne pepper to 2 teaspoons.
