Description

A stunning, multi-layered dessert featuring fudgy brownies, chocolate pudding, and minty green cream.

Ingredients

Scale

1 pan of baked chocolate brownies (9x13 inch)
2 packages (3.9 oz each) instant chocolate pudding mix
4 cups cold whole milk
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon peppermint extract
Green gel food coloring
1/2 cup mint chocolate chips
Green festive sprinkles

Instructions

Step 1: Bake the brownies according to your favorite recipe and allow them to cool completely before cutting into 1-inch cubes.
Step 3: Prepare the chocolate pudding by whisking the pudding mix with 4 cups of cold milk for two minutes; let it set in the refrigerator.
Step 3: In a cold bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and peppermint extract until stiff peaks form.
Step 4: Remove half of the whipped cream to a separate bowl and fold in green gel food coloring until the desired shade of Irish green is achieved.
Step 5: In a large glass trifle bowl, place 1/3 of the brownie cubes in an even layer at the bottom.
Step 6: Spread 1/3 of the chocolate pudding over the brownies, followed by 1/3 of the green whipped cream.
Step 7: Repeat the layers twice more, finishing with the white whipped cream on the very top of the St. Patrick’s Day Brownie Trifle.
Step 8: Top with mint chocolate chips and green sprinkles, then chill for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

Use a sharp knife to cut brownies to keep the squares looking clean through the glass.
