Description
A 20-minute gourmet seafood dinner featuring flaky cod glazed in a caramelized garlic butter and sweet chili sauce.
Ingredients
4 cod fillets (approx 6 oz each)
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon olive oil
Fresh cilantro for garnish
Red chili flakes for garnish
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Step 1: Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
Step 2: Heat olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and sear the cod for 3-4 minutes per side.
Step 3: Add butter and minced garlic to the pan, stirring until the garlic is fragrant but not browned.
Step 4: Whisk together sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, honey, and lime juice; pour over the fish.
Step 5: Baste the fish with the sauce for 2 minutes until the glaze is thick and sticky.
Step 6: Serve immediately garnished with cilantro and chili flakes.
Notes
Ensure the cod is patted dry to get a golden crust. Use thick fillets for best texture.
