Description

Sweet, smoky, tangy, and irresistibly sticky — the PERFECT holiday appetizer that keeps everyone coming back for more!

Ingredients

Scale

2 lbs frozen homestyle meatballs
1 cup peach preserves or peach jam
1/2 cup bourbon
1 cup BBQ sauce (smoky or sweet)

Instructions

Step 1: If using a slow cooker, combine peach preserves, bourbon, and BBQ sauce directly in the slow cooker pot. Stir well to combine.
Step 2: Add the frozen meatballs to the sauce mixture in the slow cooker, ensuring they are evenly coated.
Step 3: Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours, or on high for 1-1.5 hours, stirring occasionally, until meatballs are heated through and sauce is bubbly and thickened.
Step 4: If using a stovetop, combine peach preserves, bourbon, and BBQ sauce in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Bring to a gentle simmer, stirring constantly.
Step 5: Add the frozen meatballs to the simmering sauce, ensuring they are well coated. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until meatballs are heated through and sauce has thickened to a sticky glaze.
Step 6: Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley or sesame seeds if desired. Keep warm in a slow cooker for parties.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce. If your peach preserves are very chunky, you can gently mash them before adding to the sauce for a smoother glaze. Always taste the sauce and adjust sweetness or tanginess to your preference before adding meatballs.
