Description
A 20-minute umami-rich stir-fry featuring tender baby bok choy and savory ground protein in a glossy garlic sauce.
Ingredients
1 lb baby bok choy, washed and dried
1 lb ground pork or beef
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp toasted sesame oil
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp cornstarch
2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
Step 1: Prep the baby bok choy by cutting them into halves or quarters if they are large, and ensure they are very dry.
Step 2: Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and cornstarch in a small bowl to create the stir-fry sauce.
Step 3: Heat oil in a wok over high heat and brown the ground meat until fully cooked and slightly crispy.
Step 4: Add garlic and ginger to the meat and stir for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Step 5: Add the bok choy to the wok and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the leaves are wilted but stems are still crunchy.
Step 6: Pour in the sauce and toss everything together for 1 minute until the sauce thickens and glazes the Stir-fried Bok Choy with Ground Meat.
Step 7: Serve hot over rice and enjoy.
Notes
Ensure the wok is smoking hot for the best 'Wok Hei' flavor.
