Ingredients
16-ounce box angel food cake mix
21-ounce can strawberry pie filling
8-ounce block cream cheese
3.4-ounce box Jell-O vanilla instant pudding mix
1.5 cups whole milk
8-ounce container Cool Whip whipped topping
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (optional)
1/4 cup sliced almonds (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Bake the angel food cake according to package instructions and let it cool completely, then cut into 1-inch cubes.
Step 2: In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth, then whisk in milk and vanilla pudding mix until thickened.
Step 3: Place half of the cake cubes in a 9x13 dish and spread half of the strawberry filling over them.
Step 4: Spread the pudding mixture over the strawberry layer and top with the remaining cake cubes.
Step 5: Spread the rest of the strawberry filling over the cake and cover the entire top with Cool Whip.
Step 6: Sprinkle with almonds and lemon juice if using, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
