A soft, chewy strawberry blossom cookie made with cake mix and topped with a classic chocolate kiss.
Ingredients
1 box (15.25 oz) strawberry cake mix
8 tablespoons (1/2 cup) butter, melted and slightly cooled
1 large egg
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup powdered sugar or pink granulated sugar (for rolling)
30 chocolate Hershey’s Kisses, unwrapped
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2: In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and melted butter until smooth.
Step 3: Mix in the egg until fully combined.
Step 4: Add the strawberry cake mix and stir until a soft dough forms.
Step 5: Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and coat them in the optional sugar.
Step 6: Bake for 10-12 minutes. Let the cookies cool for 2 minutes on the pan.
Step 7: Press a Hershey's Kiss into the center of each cookie and transfer to a cooling rack.
Notes
Ensure the cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps in the bright pink dough.
