This incredibly creamy, sweet, and savory corn casserole is elevated with a golden honey glaze, making it the perfect show-stopping side dish for any occasion.
Ingredients
2 (15 ounce) cans whole kernel corn, drained
1 (15 ounce) can cream-style corn
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup milk
1 large egg
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup honey, for glazing
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained whole kernel corn and the can of cream-style corn.
Step 3: Add the softened cream cheese, melted butter, granulated sugar, milk, egg, and salt to the corn mixture. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined and smooth.
Step 4: Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
Step 5: Bake for 25 minutes. Carefully remove the casserole from the oven.
Step 6: Drizzle the 1/4 cup of honey evenly over the top of the partially baked casserole.
Step 7: Return the casserole to the oven and continue baking for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the casserole is set in the center and the top is golden brown and bubbly. The honey glaze should be glistening.
Step 8: Let the casserole rest for 5-10 minutes before serving. This allows it to set even further and makes serving easier.
Notes
For an extra touch, sprinkle with fresh chopped chives or parsley just before serving. This casserole reheats well in the oven or microwave.
