Description
Thick and chewy peanut butter bars loaded with festive Valentine's M&Ms and Reese's peanut butter hearts.
Ingredients
3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon table salt
6 tablespoons red, white, and pink sprinkles, divided
1/2 cup Valentine's M&M's
2 bags Reese's peanut butter hearts (chocolate and white chocolate)
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 9x13 inch pan with parchment paper.
Step 2: Cream butter, peanut butter, and both sugars until light and fluffy.
Step 3: Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
Step 4: Whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
Step 5: Combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients until a dough forms.
Step 6: Fold in M&Ms and 4 tbsp of sprinkles. Press dough into the pan.
Step 7: Bake for 20-25 minutes. While warm, press Reese's hearts and remaining sprinkles on top.
Notes
Use standard creamy peanut butter for best results. Do not overbake to keep the bars soft.
