Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tablespoon vanilla bean paste
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon salt
Green gel food coloring
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Step 2: Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy (3-5 minutes).
Step 3: Beat in the egg and vanilla bean paste until smooth.
Step 4: Mix in green gel food coloring until a vibrant green is achieved.
Step 5: Gradually mix in the dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, salt).
Step 6: Scoop dough into 1-inch balls and chill for 30 minutes.
Step 7: Bake for 10-12 minutes and cool on a wire rack.
Notes
For the most vibrant color, use gel coloring instead of liquid drops.
