Description

A quick, easy, and incredibly satisfying high-protein pizza bowl made with a cottage cheese base and your favorite pizza toppings.


Ingredients

½ cup low-fat cottage cheese
½ cup lean ground turkey or chicken sausage, cooked
2 tbsp sugar-free marinara sauce
2 tbsp shredded mozzarella cheese
A few mini turkey pepperoni slices or chopped mushrooms
Optional: sprinkle of Italian seasoning
Optional: red pepper flakes


Instructions

Step 1: Prepare your protein. If not already cooked, brown your lean ground turkey or chicken sausage in a pan until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
Step 2: Assemble the bowl. In a microwave-safe or oven-safe bowl, spread the ½ cup of low-fat cottage cheese evenly as your base.
Step 3: Layer on the flavor. Spoon the sugar-free marinara sauce over the cottage cheese. Top with the cooked ground turkey or chicken sausage, shredded mozzarella cheese, and your choice of mini turkey pepperoni slices or chopped mushrooms.
Step 4: Season and heat. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes if desired. Heat in the microwave for 1-2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Alternatively, bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 5-10 minutes, or until heated through and the cheese is lightly golden.
