Description

Discover how to make the juiciest, most flavorful turkey burgers in your air fryer! Quick, healthy, and perfect for a busy weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb (450g) lean ground turkey (93/7 recommended)
1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Cooking oil spray (e.g., olive oil or avocado oil)
4 burger buns
Your favorite toppings (lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, cheese, avocado, etc.)

Instructions

Step 1: In a large bowl, gently combine the ground turkey, panko breadcrumbs, beaten egg, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix just until combined, being careful not to overmix, which can lead to tough burgers.
Step 2: Divide the turkey mixture into four equal portions. Form each portion into a patty about ¾-inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.
Step 3: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil.
Step 4: Place the turkey burgers in a single layer in the preheated air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
Step 5: Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping the burgers halfway through the cooking time. For best results, use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Step 6: If desired, place a slice of cheese on each burger during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt. Carefully remove the cooked air fryer turkey burgers from the basket.
Step 7: Let the burgers rest for 2-3 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute. Serve immediately on toasted buns with your favorite toppings.

Notes

For extra flavor, add 1 tablespoon of finely chopped fresh parsley or cilantro to the burger mixture. Always ensure your air fryer is preheated for the best cooking results. Cooking time may vary slightly based on your specific air fryer model and patty thickness.
