Description
Flaky crescent rolls filled with a savory mixture of cream cheese, crispy bacon, and sharp cheddar cheese, baked until golden brown.
Ingredients
1 tube (8 oz) crescent roll dough
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
1/4 tsp garlic powder
Optional: 1 tbsp chopped chives or fresh parsley
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Step 2: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, cooked and crumbled bacon, and garlic powder. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined and smooth.
Step 3: Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a clean surface and separate it into 8 triangles.
Step 4: Spoon a generous tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture onto the wide end of each crescent roll triangle. Gently spread the filling, leaving a small border around the edges.
Step 5: Roll each triangle up starting from the wide end towards the pointed tip, forming the classic crescent shape.
Step 6: Place the rolled crescents on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until they are puffed up and golden brown.
Step 7: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before serving. Garnish with chopped chives or parsley, if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
Ensure cream cheese is well-softened for easy mixing. For extra flavor, you can brush the tops of the crescents with a little melted butter mixed with garlic powder before baking.
