Description

An incredibly addictive snack featuring crunchy Doritos loaded with a rich, savory filling of cream cheese, crispy bacon, and seasonings, then baked to golden perfection.


Ingredients

1 (15-ounce) bag Nacho Cheese Doritos
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
8 slices bacon, cooked crispy and crumbled
1/4 cup finely chopped green onions (white and light green parts)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste


Instructions

Step 1: Prepare your bacon. Cook 8 slices of bacon until extra crispy. I like to bake mine on a foil-lined baking sheet at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes, flipping once. Once crispy, drain on paper towels and crumble finely. Set aside.
Step 2: Soften the cream cheese. In a medium mixing bowl, combine 8 ounces of softened cream cheese with 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon onion powder, and a pinch of cayenne pepper (if using). Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
Step 3: Incorporate the bacon. Add the crumbled crispy bacon to the cream cheese mixture. Stir well until everything is thoroughly combined. This is your delicious filling for the bacon cream cheese stuffed Doritos.
Step 4: Preheat and prepare. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup. Carefully open your bag of Nacho Cheese Doritos. You'll want to select about 24-30 large, unbroken chips.
Step 5: Stuff the Doritos. This is the delicate part! Using a small spoon, or for more precision, a piping bag with a wide tip (or a Ziploc bag with the corner snipped off), carefully place a small dollop (about 1/2 to 1 teaspoon) of the bacon cream cheese mixture onto one Dorito. Gently press another Dorito on top, forming a "sandwich." Be gentle to avoid breaking the chips.
