Description

An unexpectedly delicious and addictive snack, featuring crispy Doritos stuffed with a creamy, savory mixture of softened cream cheese and crispy bacon. Perfect for parties, game nights, or unique cravings.

1 (9.75 oz / 276g) bag Nacho Cheese Doritos (or your favorite flavor)
8 oz (226g) cream cheese, softened to room temperature (full-fat recommended)
8 slices bacon, cooked crispy and finely crumbled
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
Pinch of black pepper (optional)


Instructions

Step 1: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese with the finely crumbled crispy bacon. Add optional seasonings like garlic powder and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until the bacon is evenly distributed throughout the cream cheese.
Step 2: Carefully select unbroken Dorito chips. Take one chip and apply a small, even layer of the bacon cream cheese mixture to the flat side, leaving a small border around the edges to facilitate sealing.
Step 3: Place another Dorito chip on top, aligning the edges. Gently but firmly press down around the perimeter to seal the cream cheese inside. If needed, use a tiny dab of extra cream cheese around the edges like glue.
Step 4: (Oven Method) Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Arrange the stuffed Doritos in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Step 5: (Oven Method) Bake for 5-8 minutes, or until the cream cheese is warm and gooey, and the Doritos are just starting to deepen in color and crisp further. Watch them closely to prevent burning.
Step 4: (Air Fryer Method) Preheat your air fryer to 325°F (160°C). Place the stuffed Doritos in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they don't overlap. You may need to work in batches.
Step 5: (Air Fryer Method) Air fry for 3-5 minutes, shaking the basket gently halfway through, until the cream cheese is melted and the Doritos are hot and crispier. Monitor closely.
Step 6: Carefully remove the cooked stuffed Doritos from the oven or air fryer. They will be very hot.
