Description

Elevate your favorite iced beverages with this incredibly easy and delicious homemade Banana Cold Foam. Made with ripe bananas, cream, and milk, it's a sweet, frothy topping that brings a taste of nostalgic comfort to your coffee, chai, or even just milk.

Ingredients

Scale

1 ripe medium banana, sliced
1/2 cup heavy cream (cold)
1/4 cup whole milk (cold)
1-2 tablespoons maple syrup, honey, or granulated sugar (to taste)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Combine the sliced ripe banana, cold heavy cream, cold whole milk, chosen sweetener (1-2 tablespoons, to taste), and optional vanilla extract in a high-speed blender.
Step 2: Blend the mixture on high until it is completely smooth and no banana lumps remain, about 30-60 seconds. Scrape down the sides of the blender if necessary to ensure everything is well combined.
Step 3: Transfer the smooth banana mixture to a tall glass or a dedicated milk frother. Ensure the liquid is cold for best frothing results.
Step 4: Using a handheld milk frother, immersion blender, or a French press (plunge vigorously), froth the mixture for 1-2 minutes until it becomes light, airy, and significantly increased in volume, resembling a thick, creamy foam. This is your luscious Banana Cold Foam!
Step 5: Pour your favorite iced coffee, cold brew, chai latte, or milk into a serving glass, leaving enough room at the top for the foam.
Step 6: Gently spoon the freshly frothed Banana Cold Foam generously over your beverage. Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a drizzle of caramel, if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, ensure all dairy ingredients are very cold. The ripeness of the banana significantly impacts the sweetness and flavor, so choose one with brown spots. For a thicker foam, increase the heavy cream slightly. For dairy-free, use full-fat chilled coconut milk or a creamy oat milk, though results may vary.
