A crispy, smoky, and cheesy flatbread topped with succulent BBQ chicken and red onions.
Ingredients
2 large pre-made flatbreads or Naan
1.5 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded
1/2 cup high-quality BBQ sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup shredded smoked gouda
1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and prepare a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2: In a small bowl, toss the shredded chicken with 1/4 cup of the BBQ sauce until evenly coated.
Step 3: Spread the remaining BBQ sauce onto the flatbreads, leaving a small border for the crust.
Step 4: Layer half of the mozzarella and gouda, then add the chicken and red onions.
Step 5: Top with the remaining cheese and bake for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
Step 6: Garnish with fresh cilantro before slicing and serving hot.
Notes
Use rotisserie chicken to save time. For a spicier kick, add sliced jalapeños before baking.
