Description
A low-sugar, electrolyte-rich version of the classic Brazilian Limeade, optimized for health and hydration.
Ingredients
2 organic Persian limes, washed and quartered
2 cups cold coconut water
1 cup ice cubes
2 tablespoons coconut cream or heavy cream
1 tablespoon monk fruit sweetener (adjust to taste)
A pinch of sea salt
Instructions
Step 1: Place the quartered limes and coconut water into a high-powered blender.
Step 2: Pulse the blender 5-7 times for about 2 seconds each pulse. Do not over-blend to avoid bitterness from the lime pith.
Step 3: Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher, discarding the solids.
Step 4: Pour the strained lime liquid back into the blender.
Step 5: Add the ice, coconut cream, monk fruit sweetener, and a pinch of salt.
Step 6: Blend on high for 20 seconds until the drink is frothy and creamy.
Step 7: Pour into glasses and serve immediately with a lime wedge garnish.
Notes
Ensure limes are fresh and thin-skinned for the best flavor profile. Do not skip the straining step!
