Description
Adorable s'mores-inspired chocolate cupcakes topped with marshmallow frosting, pretzel logs, and edible fire.
Ingredients
1.5 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
0.5 tsp baking soda
0.5 tsp salt
1 large egg
0.5 cup whole milk
0.25 cup vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
0.5 cup boiling water
2 cups marshmallow frosting
36 pretzel sticks
Orange and red gel food coloring
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F and line a cupcake tin with paper liners.
Step 2: Combine dry ingredients in a bowl and whisk thoroughly.
Step 3: Add wet ingredients (except boiling water) and mix until smooth.
Step 4: Carefully stir in boiling water until the batter is thin and consistent.
Step 5: Fill liners 2/3 full and bake for 20 minutes.
Step 6: Cool completely, then top with marshmallow frosting.
Step 7: Arrange 3 pretzels as logs and pipe orange/red frosting flames in the center.
Notes
Use a kitchen torch to lightly toast the marshmallow frosting for extra flavor.
