Description
A delicious no-bake treat combining the crispness of Granny Smith apples with the iconic caramel and coconut flavors of Samoa cookies.
Ingredients
3 large Granny Smith apples
1 tub caramel dip
1 bag sweetened shredded coconut
1 bottle chocolate Magic Shell topping
Instructions
Step 1: Wash and thoroughly dry the apples, leaving the skin on for a beautiful green contrast.
Step 2: Slice the apples into thick rings, about ½ inch thick.
Step 3: Use a small round cutter or knife to remove the core from each slice, creating a donut-shaped ring.
Step 4: Pat the apple rings dry with paper towels to help the caramel adhere better.
Step 5: Spread a generous layer of caramel over the top of each apple ring.
Step 6: In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast the shredded coconut until golden brown, stirring frequently to prevent burning.
Step 7: Sprinkle the toasted coconut generously over the caramel-covered apple rings and gently press it into the caramel.
Step 8: Arrange the finished apple rings on a serving plate.
Step 9: Drizzle the chocolate Magic Shell topping over each ring in a zigzag pattern.
Step 10: Allow the chocolate to harden for about 30 seconds before serving.
Notes
Always use very firm apples and ensure they are dried completely before applying the caramel dip.
