Description
A rich chocolate base topped with creamy cheesecake-style filling, swirls of caramel, and pockets of melted marshmallows.
Ingredients
1 box chocolate cake mix (15–16 oz)
1 large egg
1/2 cup butter, melted
8 oz cream cheese, softened
2 large eggs
3 cups powdered sugar
1 cup mini marshmallows
1/2 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
Step 2: Combine the chocolate cake mix, 1 egg, and melted butter in a bowl. Press this dough into the bottom of the pan.
Step 3: Evenly scatter mini marshmallows over the chocolate base and drizzle with half of the caramel sauce.
Step 4: Beat the softened cream cheese in a separate bowl until smooth. Add 2 eggs and powdered sugar, whisking until fully combined.
Step 5: Pour the cream cheese mixture over the marshmallow layer and drizzle the remaining caramel on top.
Step 6: Bake for 35-40 minutes until the edges are golden brown but the center is still slightly soft.
Step 7: Allow the cake to cool for at least 20 minutes before serving to let the layers set.
Notes
For best results, do not overbake. The center should look underdone when you pull it out.
