Description
Juicy pan-seared chicken breasts smothered in a zesty, garlic-herb compound butter sauce.
Ingredients
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1/2 cup unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp lemon zest
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
Step 1: Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper.
Step 2: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 6-8 minutes per side until fully cooked (165°F). Remove and let rest.
Step 3: Lower heat to medium-low and melt the butter in the same skillet.
Step 4: Whisk in minced garlic, lemon juice, zest, Dijon mustard, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 1-2 minutes.
Step 5: Stir in the fresh parsley and chives.
Step 6: Place chicken back into the skillet and baste with the cowboy butter sauce before serving.
Notes
Ensure your butter is at room temperature for the smoothest sauce consistency.
