Deliciously crispy air fryer wraps filled with savory chicken, ham, and melted Colby Jack cheese, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.
Ingredients
4 large flour tortillas
1 cup cooked chicken, shredded or diced
4 slices chicken ham
1 cup shredded Colby Jack cheese
2 tablespoons mayonnaise or cream cheese (optional)
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt & black pepper to taste
Cooking spray or 1 teaspoon olive oil
Instructions
Step 1: In a medium bowl, combine the cooked chicken, shredded Colby Jack cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. If using, add mayonnaise/cream cheese and Dijon mustard, mixing well until thoroughly combined.
Step 2: Lay a flour tortilla flat. Place one slice of chicken ham on one side, then spoon about 1/4 of the chicken and cheese mixture onto the center of the tortilla, over the ham.
Step 3: Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then tightly roll it up from the bottom, creating a secure wrap. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling.
Step 4: Lightly spray the outside of each wrap with cooking spray or brush with a little olive oil. This helps achieve that beautiful golden crisp.
Step 5: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Place the wraps seam-side down in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded. You may need to cook in batches.
Step 6: Air fry for 4-5 minutes, then carefully flip the wraps. Continue to air fry for another 4-5 minutes, or until the tortillas are golden brown and crispy, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Step 7: Carefully remove the wraps from the air fryer and let them cool for a minute or two before serving with your favorite dipping sauce. Enjoy immediately!
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of smoked paprika or a dash of hot sauce to your chicken mixture. These wraps are also fantastic with a side of fresh salsa or a creamy avocado dip.
