Description

A spooky and delicious vampire-themed treat featuring fresh strawberries dipped in rich dark chocolate with almond sliver fangs.


Ingredients

12 large fresh strawberries, washed and dried
1 cup high-quality dark chocolate melting wafers
24 almond slivers (for fangs)
Optional: Red edible decorating gel
Optional: 24 mini chocolate chips (for eyes)


Instructions

Step 1: Thoroughly wash the strawberries and pat them dry with a paper towel. Ensure they are completely dry so the chocolate adheres properly.
Step 2: Melt the dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second increments, stirring between each, until smooth.
Step 3: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent the fang chocolate dipped strawberries from sticking.
Step 4: Dip each strawberry into the melted chocolate, coating about 3/4 of the berry, and place it on the parchment paper.
Step 5: Before the chocolate fully sets, use a toothpick to make two small indentations and insert the almond slivers as fangs.
Step 6: If desired, use dots of chocolate to attach mini chocolate chips as eyes and add a drop of red gel for a 'bloody' look.
Step 7: Refrigerate the fang chocolate dipped strawberries for at least 15 minutes until the chocolate is firm.

Notes

Always ensure berries are at room temperature before dipping to prevent the chocolate from cracking.
