Description
These homemade garlic Parmesan pizza rolls are golden, cheesy, and packed with savory flavor, perfect for any snack, appetizer, or side dish occasion.
Ingredients
1 package refrigerated pizza dough (or homemade)
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Step 2: Roll out the pizza dough onto a lightly floured surface into a rectangle about 10x12 inches.
Step 3: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, dried oregano, and dried basil. Stir well.
Step 4: Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over the entire surface of the pizza dough.
Step 5: Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the dough, followed by the shredded mozzarella cheese.
Step 6: Starting from one end, carefully roll the dough up tightly into a log shape.
Step 7: Using a sharp knife, slice the rolled dough into 1-inch pieces (about 10-12 rolls). Place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
Step 8: (Optional) Sprinkle the rolls with red pepper flakes for heat.
Step 9: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Step 10: Remove from oven, let cool for a minute, then sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley. Serve warm, ideally with marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
For an extra crispy bottom, use a cast-iron skillet or a well-seasoned pizza stone.
