Description
A rapid 30-minute meal prep bowl featuring caramelized hot honey beef over fluffy jasmine rice with steamed greens.
Ingredients
1 lb 90% lean ground beef
3 tbsp hot honey
2 cups cooked jasmine rice
2 cups broccoli florets, steamed
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
1 tbsp olive oil
1/4 cup sliced green onions
1 tsp sesame seeds
Instructions
Step 1: Cook rice according to package directions and steam the broccoli until tender.
Step 2: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and brown the ground beef until no pink remains.
Step 3: Drain excess grease and stir in minced garlic and ginger, cooking for 60 seconds until fragrant.
Step 4: Add soy sauce and hot honey to the pan, stirring to coat the beef completely.
Step 5: Simmer the beef for 3-5 minutes until the sauce has reduced into a sticky glaze.
Step 6: Divide the rice, broccoli, and beef into 4 bowls and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
To make it spicier, add crushed red pepper flakes to the beef while browning.
