2 cups chilled club soda or seltzer water
1/2 cup chilled half-and-half or heavy cream
Ice cubes
Whipped cream for garnish (optional)
Maraschino cherries for garnish (optional)
Fresh berries or fruit slices for garnish (optional)


Instructions

Step 1: Gather all your ingredients and ensure your club soda and half-and-half are well-chilled. This is key for the best taste and fizz.
Step 2: Fill four tall glasses generously with ice cubes. More ice helps keep the drink cold and less diluted.
Step 3: Pour 1/4 cup (approximately 4 tablespoons) of your chosen flavored syrup into the bottom of each glass. Adjust the amount according to your preferred sweetness.
Step 4: Slowly add about 1/2 cup of chilled club soda to each glass, pouring it directly over the ice and syrup. This will start the fizzing action.
Step 5: Gently pour 2 tablespoons of chilled half-and-half (or heavy cream) into each glass. For a beautiful layered effect, carefully pour it over the back of a spoon.
Step 6: Stir gently with a spoon, just enough to swirl the cream and syrup together without losing too much of the carbonation.
