Description

A classic, refreshing margarita recipe made with three simple, high-quality ingredients: fresh lime juice, agave, and premium tequila.

Ingredients

Scale

2 oz Silver or Reposado Tequila
1 oz Freshly squeezed lime juice
0.75 oz Cointreau or Agave Nectar
Ice cubes
Coarse sea salt for the rim
Lime wheel for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare your glass by rubbing a lime wedge around the rim and dipping it into a small plate of coarse sea salt.
Step 2: Fill a cocktail shaker with a generous handful of ice cubes.
Step 3: Add the tequila, fresh lime juice, and agave nectar (or orange liqueur) to the shaker.
Step 4: Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until the shaker is frosted and cold.
Step 5: Strain the mixture into the prepared glass over fresh ice and garnish with a lime wheel.

Notes

Always use fresh limes for the best flavor. If the drink is too tart, add an extra teaspoon of agave nectar.
