Description
A silky, creamy, and completely oven-free butterscotch pie with a classic graham cracker crust.
Ingredients
1.5 cups graham cracker crumbs
6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
1 tbsp granulated sugar
2 packages (3.4 oz each) instant butterscotch pudding mix
2.5 cups cold whole milk
1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
Butterscotch chips for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar in a small bowl until well mixed.
Step 2: Press the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie dish and freeze for 10 minutes.
Step 3: Whisk the instant butterscotch pudding mix and cold milk together in a large bowl for 2 minutes until thick.
Step 4: Fold half of the whipped topping into the pudding until no streaks remain.
Step 5: Spread the pudding mixture into the prepared crust.
Step 6: Top with the remaining whipped topping and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
Step 7: Garnish with butterscotch chips if desired and serve cold.
Notes
Ensure the milk is very cold for the pudding to set properly. For a firmer pie, let it chill overnight.
