Description

A rich and buttery cake filled with melting toffee bits and topped with a sweet condensed milk glaze for the ultimate gooey texture.


Ingredients

Scale

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1/2 cup whole milk
1 cup toffee bits
14 oz sweetened condensed milk


Instructions

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan thoroughly.
Step 2: Whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt together in a small bowl and set aside.
Step 3: Cream the butter and granulated sugar until fluffy, then beat in the egg.
Step 4: Mix in the milk and gradually stir in the dry ingredients until just combined.
Step 5: Fold in half of the toffee bits and spread the batter into the prepared baking pan.
Step 6: Pour the sweetened condensed milk over the top and sprinkle with the remaining toffee bits.
Step 7: Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until the edges are golden and the center is slightly set but still gooey.

Notes

For the best texture, serve while still slightly warm from the oven.
