A chewy, marshmallowy no-bake treat infused with zesty orange and creamy vanilla flavors.
Ingredients
6 cups puffed rice cereal
10 oz mini marshmallows
4 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tsp orange extract
1 tsp vanilla bean paste
2 tbsp fresh orange zest
1/8 tsp sea salt
Instructions
Step 1: Line and grease a 9x9 inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
Step 2: Melt butter in a large pot over low heat; add marshmallows and stir until almost melted.
Step 3: Remove from heat and stir in orange extract, vanilla, zest, and salt.
Step 4: Gently fold in the rice cereal until evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture.
Step 5: Press the mixture into the prepared pan using a greased spatula, being careful not to pack too tightly.
Step 6: Let set at room temperature for 30-60 minutes before slicing into squares.
Notes
Use fresh marshmallows for the softest results. Add white chocolate drizzle for an extra 'creamy' look.
