Description

An ethereal pink latte made with real cherry blossom essence and velvety steamed milk.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup whole milk or oat milk
1.5 tbsp Sakura syrup
1 tsp Sakura powder
1 tsp honey (optional)
1 pinch beet powder (for color)
1 dried cherry blossom for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Soak the dried cherry blossom in warm water for 5 minutes to soften the petals and remove salt.
Step 2: In a small pot, whisk together the milk, sakura powder, and sakura syrup until well combined.
Step 3: Heat the mixture over medium-low heat until steaming but not boiling (approx 150°F).
Step 4: Whisk in a tiny pinch of beet powder if a more vibrant pink color is desired.
Step 5: Use a milk frother to create a thick layer of foam on the surface of the milk.
Step 6: Pour into a glass mug and top with the softened cherry blossom garnish.

Notes

For an iced version, dissolve the powder in 2 tbsp hot water first, then pour over ice and cold milk.
