Description
A tender, buttery cake loaded with fresh summer peaches and a hint of vanilla.
Ingredients
1.5 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3-4 medium fresh peaches, sliced
1/4 cup sour cream
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9-inch round pan.
Step 2: Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Step 3: Add eggs and vanilla, beating until smooth.
Step 4: Mix in dry ingredients and sour cream until just combined.
Step 5: Fold in half of the peaches and transfer batter to the pan.
Step 6: Arrange the remaining peaches on top.
Step 7: Bake for 45-50 minutes and cool on a wire rack.
Notes
Use freestone peaches for easier slicing.
