Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter
8 oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped
1.5 cups granulated sugar
0.5 cup light brown sugar
3 large eggs
1 tbsp vanilla extract
0.75 cup all-purpose flour
0.25 cup Dutch-process cocoa powder
0.5 tsp sea salt
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x9 pan with parchment paper.
Step 2: Melt butter and chopped bittersweet chocolate together until smooth.
Step 3: Whisk eggs and sugars for 3-5 minutes until thick and pale.
Step 4: Gently fold the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture.
Step 5: Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt; fold until just combined.
Step 6: Fold in the chocolate chunks.
Step 7: Bake for 25-30 minutes until edges are set but the center remains slightly soft.
Step 8: Cool completely before slicing into 16 squares.
