Ingredients
3 cups cooked turkey, shredded or diced
1/2 cup celery, finely diced
1/4 cup red onion, finely minced
1/2 cup mayonnaise (good quality, full-fat recommended)
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon dried dill (or 1 tablespoon fresh, chopped)
1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
1/4 teaspoon black pepper, or to taste
Instructions
Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded or diced cooked turkey, finely diced celery, and finely minced red onion.
Step 2: In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, fresh lemon juice, dried dill, salt, and black pepper. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
Step 3: Pour the dressing over the turkey mixture. Gently fold the dressing into the turkey mixture until everything is well combined and coated.
Step 4: Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. For best results, chill for 1-2 hours.
Step 5: Before serving, give the turkey salad a gentle stir. Taste and adjust seasonings one last time if necessary. Serve chilled.
