Description
An incredibly simple and healthy frozen dessert made with fresh watermelon, lime, and a hint of sweetness.
Ingredients
6 cups seedless watermelon, cubed
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Cut the watermelon into 1-inch cubes and remove any seeds.
Step 2: Place cubes in a single layer on a tray and freeze for 4-6 hours until solid.
Step 3: Place frozen cubes, lime juice, and sweetener in a high-speed blender.
Step 4: Blend on high until smooth, using a tamper to push the fruit down.
Step 5: Serve immediately for a soft-serve texture or freeze in a container for 2 hours for firmer scoops.
Notes
Ensure the watermelon is fully frozen before blending to get the correct sorbet texture. For a boozy adult version, add 1 oz of white rum before blending.
